Dwie uczty

Biblia opisuje wiele wydarzeń eschatologicznych (rzeczy ostateczne) za pomocą symboli.  Jednym z takich wydarzeń jest przybycie na naszą planetę jeźdźca, jadącego na białym koniu i na czele wojsk niebiańskich, który rozprawi się z narodami usiłującymi zniszczyć lud Boży.  W rezultacie jego przybycia, zwierzę i fałszywy prorok zostaną wrzuceni do jeziora ognistego, pozostali zostaną zabici mieczem przez jeźdźca, a wszystkie ptaki będą się rozkoszowały napełniając brzuchy ciałami pobitych.  Jeźdźcem na białym koniu jest Jezus Chrystus, a uczta ptaków jest wyniszczeniem bezbożników z powierzchni Ziemi przed nastaniem tysiąclecia. Light and space

When people talk or write about creation of the world in the context of the Bible, they usually take the existence of three-dimensional (3D) space and time for granted.  Philosophers would say, they make an unexpressed assumption about the 3D space and time.  It seems to me that proponents of the Big Bang theory also make such an assumption (please correct me if I am wrong).

Scientists argue that space has 6 dimensions, and may be some other number.  When we talk about 3- or 6- or n-dimensional space, are we talking about the same concept, or the first few dimensions are only about space?  Can 3D space, or the concept of 3D space, with probably inclusion of the fourth dimension of time, exist on its own without involving other dimensions? The Unknown Seven Thunders

Background

Some time ago (20 Aug 2008), the website of Dandenong Polish Seventh-day Adventist Church (Melbourne, Australia) published the article The Forgotten Seven Thunders written by Dr Ron Nielsen of Bond University in Queensland, Australia, which was originally introduced with a note: “The article below presents biblical matters as perceived by a scientist.”  After I red this article, I sent a few questions to Dr Nielsen, but never received any reply.  Therefore I began to analyze the article to see if my questions were too silly to ask a scientist, but as a result I confirmed my suspicion that my questions may be too hard to answer.  Here they are: Read more of this post

Niewybaczalny grzech

Kilka razy słyszałem jak ktoś mówił, że są grzechy nieprzebaczalne.  Kiedy pytałem, jak to się może stać że wszechmiłujący Bóg jakby ‘zatnie się’ i nie przebaczy komuś jakiegoś grzechu, słyszę w odpowiedzi, że ponoć Biblia tak uczy.

Co więcej, słyszałem również, że sprawa wyglądała tak samo z Lucyferem.  Zaszedł już tak daleko, że nie było dla niego powrotu.  W pewnym momencie zwrócił się do Boga z prośbą o przebaczenie, ale Bóg musiał mu odmówić. Czytaj dalej
